Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: October 2, 2025

Our Commitment: Rentlab is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

1. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Rentlab is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Our Accessibility Goals

We are actively working towards full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. This is an ongoing process, and we prioritize accessibility improvements in our development roadmap.

2. Accessibility Features

Current Accessible Features

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard
  • Focus Indicators: Clear visual indicators for keyboard focus
  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy and semantic markup throughout
  • ARIA Labels: Screen reader support with appropriate ARIA labels and descriptions
  • Color Contrast: Text meets WCAG AA contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Responsive Design: Content adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
  • Alternative Text: Images and icons include descriptive alt text
  • Form Labels: All form inputs have associated labels
  • Error Identification: Clear error messages with suggestions for correction
  • Skip Links: Skip navigation links for screen reader users

Supported Technologies

Rentlab is designed to be compatible with:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Voice recognition software
  • Screen magnification software
  • Browser zoom up to 200%

3. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some accessibility issues may exist. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

Areas for Improvement

  • Complex Data Tables: Some financial reports and tables may not be fully optimized for screen readers
  • Dynamic Content: Some dynamically loaded content may not always announce updates to screen readers
  • PDF Reports: Generated PDF reports may not be fully accessible; we recommend using the web view when possible
  • Charts and Graphs: Visual data representations include text alternatives, but we're working on enhancing data table alternatives

Remediation Timeline

We prioritize accessibility issues based on impact and frequency of use. High-impact issues are typically addressed within 30-60 days of identification. We conduct quarterly accessibility audits to identify and resolve issues proactively.

4. Testing & Evaluation

Our Testing Process

We evaluate accessibility through:

  • Automated accessibility testing tools integrated into our development workflow
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing for all new features
  • Screen reader testing (VoiceOver, NVDA) for critical user flows
  • Color contrast validation tools
  • Responsive design testing at various zoom levels

Third-Party Components

Rentlab uses modern, accessible UI component libraries (Radix UI, shadcn/ui) that prioritize accessibility. We carefully evaluate third-party components for accessibility compliance before integration.
